London Three Hour Royal English Walking Food Tour

We did this tour last weekend and it was a great experience. We discovered new places with some great food and our guide Kay was really friendly & knowledgable. He told us really interesting facts about the area and made the tour an enjoyable experience!! Will surely join again & recommend to friends too!!

We did this tour on the 23rd of August. Our tour guide was Kevin Bond who really made the whole experience fascinating, relaxed and fun. It is a great mixture of sightseeing, history, interesting facts and lovely food tasting! We had an enjoyable morning and tasted some gorgeous food as well as learning a great deal about the Royal village in London. Kevin is equipped with waterproofs for those foolish enough to go on a walking tour in England without a mac and carried a selection of food to sample in-between the food venues. I recommend this tour to families, overseas tourists and Brits...something for everyone. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to be on the move for three hours. Small group of up to 8 people but there were only two of us and Kevin so we were very lucky!!

My husband and I love food tours and have experienced at least four prior to today. The Royal Food Tour today was the best ever: lots of seriously good food and, just as important, our guide, Kevin, was also the best. He tells lots of stories (true, too) about royals in history, pointed out some of their homes (beyond Buckingham Palace), and connected our food with specific kings and queens. We never were rushed and could take in all the sights of Royal London. Thanks, Kevin.

The royal food tour was an amazing experience, the best day I had in London during my stay!
I felt like a princess during the whole tour.
We did an amazing, really informative cheese tasting in a wonderful old cheese shop who still supply the royal family with their cheese weekly. I saw lots of great things like the changing of the guards, where the sandwich was invented, the bar that invented James Bond's martini and tasted luxury chocolates, fruit's, pastries, meats drinks and even had afternoon tea in a beautiful, luxurious tea shop frequented by the queen. I would be happy to rate ten stars if that was possible, they really deserve it! Kevin the guide was absolutely charming, he knows his stuff really well and I left the tour knowing everything and more that I could possibly want for the rest of my week in London. Next time I'll be in London I will come back to see their other tours and maybe even do this one again, it was that good.

Gotta say I wasn't disappointed! This was my second choice for food tours in London, my first being sold out, but this was so much fun and so intimate. Thank you Kevin Bond. I learned so much and the food tastings were interesting. The Scotch Eggs, the chocolate and THE CHEESES - wow - all so good. Loved the extra stories along the way and all the business with Royal Warrants. If you want to learn some off-beat facts and see the "royal" area of London, I would hightly recommend. It was a rainy tour day, but the walk was steady and level, so just about anybody can do it. Nice lunch time tea to wrap things up!

We were coming in from Chiswick and took an uber to arrive on time, only to get caught in tons of traffic. I contacted the tour and told them that we were running late, and asked if we could meet them at one of the food stops. They responded very quickly and said that the food tour would leave at the appointed time, but they had another guide who would meet us at the meeting place. We assumed that he would help us meet up with the group--instead we were so lucky to get Kevin Bond as our guide as he just happened to be off work that day, and we had a tour with only us. Kevin was an awesome guide, who gave us lots of history of the various foods that we tried, as well as some good stories about different spots in London and some history, as well. He also took us to a spot where we got to watch the changing of the guard. The food was great! We loved the scotch egg, the cheese in the cheese shop was delicious, the chocolate was awesome and we ended with a "proper English afternoon tea". If you are looking for a great food tour that includes great tastings, good history and interesting facts about London, we would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks, Kevin, for a fantastic day!

We both enjoyed our food tour with Kevin, he was very informative and entertaining. The walking tour took to us many sights and sites that we wouldn’t have found ourselves. We enjoyed the stories of these places as well as all the food samples which were all delicious and perfectly proportioned. We highly recommend this tour!

Fantastic tour and certainly one not to be missed! Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed themselves and as there was such a wide age-range we have to say a huge - well done. We tasted a great variety of foods that London has to offer and also learnt many interesting facts and stories too from our guide who was fantastic, very knowledgeable and made the whole day great fun for us. If you're visiting London then this comes highly recommended - you won't be disappointed - we had a great time. Big tip - start this tour with a good appetite as there's plenty of delicious food to eat ! Next time we're in London we will definitely be booking another tour with you guys. My friend and I went on the Royal Food Tour on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 and we have a fantastic time. Our guide, Mr. Bond Kevin Bond is a very friendly, knowledgeable young man who took us around to the different stores, streets and places the Royal family goes to purchase their food, treats, drinks, clothes, hats, etc.- all within the neighborhood near and around Buckingham Palace.

Since the rest of the group didnt show for the tour, my friend and I got a tour with just Mr. Bond and us. We started off with sweet rolls that the Queens eats every morning and we walked through the historic shopping arcades like the Royal Arcade and the Burlington Arcade where the Royals still shop. We visited the candy shops, grocer, cheese maker, liquor store, clothing stores and various places- tasting and learning along the way. We had Scotch eggs at Fortnum and Mason, candy at Charbonnel and Walker, 4 types of delicious cheeses at Paxton and Whitfield, superb gin at Berry Bros and Rudd and even a delicious vegetarian treat that was the favorite of Queen Victoria made for her by her favorite Indian friend who served her at Buckingham Palace.

Our guide, Kevin, knew so much about the history of the places we visited, with great anecdotal stories like Tallulah Bankhead getting wasted at the Ritz Hotel Winston Churchill is my god!, or Ian Fleming having his martinis shaken, not stirred at the Duke Hotel bar while writing James Bond novels, or John Lennon meeting Yoko Ono for the first time at an art gallery in Masons Yard, home of rock and roll in London. Kevin really brought the Royals to life- both past and present. We went over to Buckingham Palace for the Changing of the Guards, but the guards didnt change. Instead the Royal Calvary rode in, which was really nice. Folks still love the pomp and circumstance. As we walked around, Kevin pointed out the blue plaques on buildings that commemorated a special person or event that happened in that spot passed by where Napoleon lived for a while in London and Churchills house, among others. We walked on side streets like the Crown Passage and Masons Yard and alleys that I would have never gone on my own. That made the tour extra special for me and my friend.

In the end, we had afternoon tea at Richoux, a lovely spot on Piccadilly. That is where we ended our tour, in an elegant and very English way. Thanks to Kevin Bond and his engaging and fun guidance, I learned a lot about the Royals, about upper class London and all the great food that London has to offer. This tour is a MUST and a highlight for a visit to London.

I just finished my Royal food tour with Kevin Bond. We have done food tours all over the US and Europe and I believe this was the best! Kevin is a dancer in the West End and he moves fast, but is full of knowledge about Royal history and each of the offerings were wonderful and very interesting. We got to see the changing of the guard, eat from Royal food vendors, taste cheese and receive a lesson on cheese from a cheese specialist (2/3 were ranking best in the world) and much much more. I was alone because my hubby is on business in London and I tagged along, but I cannot say enough good things about this tour and especially about Kevin Bond!

Fantastic tour! Great food tastings (after all they are fit for a queen), informative, and a fun walk! Our guide Kay was great. In addition to the food tastings, he showed us many hidden and historical locations that we would have missed on our own. All in all, a very worthwhile tour.

We loved this small group food tour. Kevin Bond was our guide and he was fabulous. We tasted all sorts of delicious foods - some that were created at the request of previous royals and some that are currently enjoyed by royals. The tour has a lot of very interesting history about the royals and we greatly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this tour and Kevin Bond!

We met our guide at Green Park on our first morning in London and walked through the area and saw wonderful shops and learned interesting tidbits about the life style of the royals. We visited several of the shopping malls which we would not have seen on our own, because they were on small side streets. We visited Fortnum and Mason and enjoyed the scotch eggs so much we went back later. The cheese shop was excellent and our guide pointed out Duke, which has legendary martinis. It was a delightful introduction to London.

As a mother traveling with two teen girls (13 and 14), I wanted to book something that would keep their attention, combining sight-seeing, changing of the guards and a bit of royal culture. This walking tour was a perfect fit. Kevin Bond was an excellent tour guide - personable and knowledgeable. The kids even felt comfortable asking questions - they were often walking up ahead with him he was so inviting and engaging. We were on the "royal food tour" which highlighted shops and food stores the royals visit. This tour was extremely informative and the best surprise was when Kevin took us to the "real" changing of the guards (excellent vantage point) the exact location I won't mention in this review, you'll have to go see for yourself! Thank you so much, Kevin! We all agreed you were a highlight of the trip!

This is a tour everyone should make time to do. We really enjoyed the range of tastings that were provided but also the history of many of the suppliers and their connection with the Royal Household. It was a great day discovering some of the lesser known spots round that area of London but also seeing some of the Royal Palaces and in our case the bonus of a Changing of the Guard ceremony going on which was great to see. Many thanks to Kevin our tour guide who kept us well entertained and had an interesting fund of stories and facts about the history of the area and its food. Make sure you feel like eating before you go on this tour because you get through quite a few samples and we certainly felt well satisfied by the end of the tour. Overall very good value and a really enjoyable day out.
